I bought these pouches at my local HEB because they were at a ridiculously low price, so I didn’t get around to reading the Amazon reviews until after my purchase. I gotta say I was shocked by what other people had written about this product. So I’m gonna write my review a little differently.
Old review 1: “The kids in the photo are of school age and it’s not meant for younger children”
Rebuttal: My 10 month old baby has been using them for over a month. I’ve made him fruits and vegetables and he eats both without an issue. Sometimes I’ll even freeze them and he’ll eat “slushies”.
Disclaimer: My baby can drink from a straw, so that might be a game changer here.
Old review 2: “They don’t close properly and spill”
Rebuttal: It does take a little extra effort to close them, but once they’re properly closed it also takes some effort to open them which means that if you do it right, there shouldn’t be any spillage. Just make sure that the top of the lid is on contact with the bottom of the lid without any gaps. I’ve even successfully been able to get these through TSA while traveling with my baby.
Old review 3: “They’re wasteful. You can’t get all of the pureé out”
B: Unfortunately, this is slightly true. Not as much as a whole ounce as other reviews claim, but it is a little difficult to get everything out of the pouches. I help my baby by pushing the pureé while he sucks. That helps minimize waste.
Overall, I think these are great! And absolutely perfect for when traveling or on the go.
